James Kevin Leonard

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of James Kevin Leonard, who passed away on January 25, 2025, in Denton, Texas. Kevin was born on December 16, 1967, in Denver City, Texas, and he was a lifelong lover of music and a retired Band Director.

Kevin found joy in the simple things—his love of music, golf, and spending time with family and friends. His kind heart and passion for bringing people together through music left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Kevin is survived by his son, James Kyle Leonard of Boyd, Texas, and his daughter, Karli Danielle Leonard of Saginaw, Texas. He is also survived by his brother Mike Leonard and his wife Karen of Andrews, Texas, and his brother Tony Leonard of Lamesa, Texas. He is further survived by his niece Kristan Leonard of Andrews, Texas, his nephews Lance Leonard of Midland, Texas, and Dustin Leonard of Lubbock, Texas, as well as many great nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father, James Franklin Leonard of Andrews, Texas, his mother, Remona Fay Leonard of Andrews, Texas, and his sister-in-law, Tammy Kay Leonard of Lamesa, Texas.

Visitation will be on Monday, February 3, 2025, at Andrews Corgill Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held at Andrews Corgill Funeral Home in Andrews, Texas, on Tuesday, February 4th at 10:00 am. Graveside services will be at the Andrews Cemetery following the chapel service.

Pallbearers will be Micheal Leatherman, Mark Kaufman, Daniel Montoya, Kelton Cheshire, Lance Leonard, and Nathan Cain.
