James Franklin Whitehead passed away unexpectedly on Friday September 20, 2013. He was born in Dallas, Texas on January 4, 1953 to James Whitehead and Mary Lee (Key) Whitehead. He is preceded in death by his parents. Left behind with memories to cherish are his loving wife of 32 years, Judy Whitehead, daughter Jennifer Floyd & husband Chris, daughter Jessica Rogers & husband Rick, grandsons Nathan, Lance, Cody, Ryan and Nowell, sister Beverly Carr & husband Harold, sister Mary Choate & husband Robert and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. James was a graduate of East Texas State University. He worked for many years at all levels in the elevator construction industry. He was a member of the Masonic lodge and a retired member of I.U. E.C. local 21. He enjoyed hunting. His family often called him "The Great White Hunter". James loved his family and his family loved him. He will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends 6-8pm. Monday September 23, 2013 at Roselawn Funeral Home, Seagoville, Texas. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. At the family's request, please do not send flowers. Contribution may be made to Scottish Rite Hospital or The American Heart Association.
