Lonnie Eugene Maples Jr. passed away at the age of 53 on August, 30th 2021, at his home in Andrews, Texas.
Lonnie was born on June 5th, 1968, in Kiowa, KS to Lonnie and Linda Maples. On February 3rd, 1986, Lonnie married Alvie Davis and they spent the rest of their years together raising their three amazing, beautiful children; Jonathan, Samantha and JoAnna; making him the proudest father we knew. He loved them more than anything in this world. He was blessed with his 7 grandchildren; Ryleigh, Hailee, Alexandria, Bryceson, Lucas, Kaia and Scarlet; of whom he loved & adored equally as much. Lonnie was a special soul. If you touched his heart, you had a piece of it forever. He wasn’t the typical man you meet day to day. He had a unique and infectious personality that left an impression, and he was one of the best friends you could ask for, always putting others first. This is one absence that will be noticed by many.
Lonnie is preceded in death by his father; Lonnie Sr., mother; Linda, stepmother; Janetta, and younger brother Michael. He is survived by his siblings; Billy, Shauna, Angie, Jeremy, Amanda, Jason and Lanetta. His children, grandchildren, and many other loved ones.
Lonnie will be remembered for the undeniable love he had for his family, reading, being a collector of random treasures, his ability to spell any word in the English language, and for simply being the smartest man we have ever known.
He will truly be loved, and missed dearly, by all the lives he blessed.
