Filiberta Gallegos

Filiberta L. Gallegos 89, of Andrews, TX passed away on Tuesday August 23, 2022 at Permian Residential Care Center surrounded by her daughters.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life 10:00 AM Friday, August 26, 2022, at Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church in Andrews, Texas. The family will receive friends from  10AM-9PM on Thursday at Andrews-Corgill Funeral Home.
Filiberta was born February 16, 1933, in Boquilla de San Isidro to Rosalio and Manuela Lujan. She was married to Valentin Gallegos for 50 years before his death in 2012. Filiberta worked at Kirby for 15 years. After her retirement she enjoyed volunteering at the Andrews Food Pantry as well as the Catholic Women’s Organization at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She enjoyed going to play Bingo with her friends as well as playing scratch off lottery tickets. What she enjoyed the most was cooking and baking to make sure everyone that visited her would leave with a full stomach or food for the road. She also loved walking her neighborhood to sell her baked goods.
She is survived by her sons Martin Carrillo (Olivia)of Odessa, TX; Jose Carrillo (Teresa) of Andrews, TX; Gustavo Gallegos (Patricia) of San Angelo, TX; and Jose Gallegos of Odessa, TX and daughters Adelaida Saldaña (Alejo) and Margarita Bejarano (Johnny) of Andrews, TX. 21 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Rosalio and Manuela Lujan. Her husband Valentin Gallegos. Her son Javier Gallegos. Her grandsons Javier Gallegos, Jaime G Bejarano and Manuel G Saldaña.
